Biography

Prince Owusu is a Renal Disease Activist and Professional Nurse with a nursing education from the Ghana Armed Forces College of Nursing and Midwifery (37 Military Hospital), Accra, under the academic auspices of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. His clinical career began as a Nurse Intern at 37 Military Hospital, Accra, from February 2021 to March 2022, where he gained valuable experience working with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Since March 2025, he has served as a Registered General Nurse at the National Cardiothoracic Centre, Korle Bu, Accra, and also works part-time as a Renal Nurse at The Bank Hospital, Cantonment, Accra. Beyond his clinical practice, Prince has contributed to youth and global health initiatives, serving as a Youth Consultant for the Youth in Global Health Governance Report and participating in the Youth in Global Health Governance initiative. His contributions were formally recognized through a Certificate of Participation awarded by the International Working Group for Health Systems Strengthening and the Africa CDC Youth Programmes.
