Biography
Dr. Rachel Zimmer, DNP, RN, APRN, AGNP-C, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Backed by over a decade of experience as a registered nurse in primary care, Dr. Zimmer discovered a strong dedication to supporting individuals facing mental health challenges and substance use disorders during her graduate clinical rotations. Upon earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, she transitioned into a full-time faculty role. Today, she leverages her clinical teaching and targeted research to champion critical public health and mental health initiatives across western Wisconsin.
